Shipment and Delivery of Products
Express shipping (Next Day Service) is recommended for orders containing living organisms destined to warm or cold climates. Empco 2-Day Flat Rate Service may be purchased for orders destined to temperate climates. Certain shipments require a signature on delivery; please be available to receive the package on the delivery date. Next Day and 2-Day shipping services ensure diminished transit time for living specimens, and do not accelerate shipment dispatch time. Please email Empco in advance if your order is urgent or time sensitive and we will confirm a delivery commitment date.
Customer Privacy & Security
Empco guarantees that all personal information including contact, billing, and shipping details will remain strictly confidential. Customer information is never provided to third parties for solicitation or data collection purposes. Empco does not send unsolicited electronic or conventional mail.
Product Guarantees & Replacements
Express Shipments: Living organisms shipped via express service to locations in the United States are guaranteed to arrive alive. In the event that a living specimen expires in shipment, please notify Empco immediately. A replacement order will be issued. Due to the limitations of international shipping, including unforeseen delays at customs, international customers are required to pay for the shipping cost of any replacement order. 
Empco 2-Day Flat Rate Shipments: This service includes the same warranty provided for Express Shipments, except for destinations with temperatures exceeding 75 °F/24 °C, in which case no warranty is included with this service. Empco 2-Day Flat Rate Service is intended for destinations with mild temperatures.
Standard Shipments: Empco cannot guarantee safe arrival of living organisms shipped via standard mail service. Customers opting to have living organisms shipped via standard mail service must proceed at their own risk. Empco does not offer product replacement free of charge for samples that expire as a result of non-expedited transit.
Returns: Due to the perishable nature of living organisms and the sterility of accessories, return of non-damaged products is not accepted.
Product Ordering & Payment
Orders can be submitted by credit or debit card, online or by phone. Online orders may also be completed via Paypal™. To pay by check or money order, proceed through online checkout and select the desired payment method. Orders are shipped upon receipt of check or money order.
Purchase orders are honored from institutions within the United States, and can be accepted via fax, email, or letter. In addition to transmitting a purchase order document, customers must place the order either by phone, or by online checkout, indicating the purchase order number when prompted. A minimum sub-total of $15.00 USD is required for all purchase orders. Payment for purchase orders is due within 30 days of invoice receipt. For international purchase orders, payment is required prior to shipment of goods for first order. Subsequent purchase orders will be honored immediately. This policy is necessary to ensure the international institution possesses the means to electronically transfer the owed funds in a manner compatible with US Banks.
