Media
Growth media are precisely nutrified liquids or agars that support life. All media are autoclave or radiation sterilized to ensure quality. Purchase additional growth media to extend the lifespan of microbes, or to increase the size of a culture.
L1 medium is recommended for the culture of bioluminescent algae. f/2 medium is also acceptable, and differs only by the composition of the trace elements, with L1 medium containing a more comprehensive variety. The BMC cultures all bioluminescent algae on L1 medium.
